Berlin Talman House Event Demonstrates Skyrocketing Interest In The Global Cannabis Industry

After hosting multiple successful industry investor events in Europe, The Talman House held a private event in Berlin, Germany, on April 28th, 2025, at the iconic Hotel Adlon Kempinski. The members-only gathering proved to be Talman’s most successful event to date.
From the very beginning of the Talman meeting in Berlin, it was readily apparent that interest in the emerging global cannabis industry is experiencing exponential growth. Every major legal cannabis market was represented at the private gathering, and the palpable excitement throughout the event was evident.
Finn A. Hänsel, Managing Director and Founder of Sanity Group, kicked off the Talman event with a keynote address. Entrepreneurs and investors are increasingly working to make successful entries into the German cannabis market or scale up their existing operations, and Mr. Hänsel provided critical insight into effective strategies for investing in Germany’s emerging industry.
The keynote address was followed by a panel discussion focusing on raising capital for endeavors in the German and wider European markets. Nearly every company in the international cannabis industry requires additional capital to scale up, and that is especially true in Germany, where competition is increasing post-legalization. The panel, moderated by Jeanne M. Sullivan, Chief Inspiration Officer of Sullivan Adventures LLC and Partner of New Holland Group, discussed successful strategies that entities have incorporated.
Additionally, Emily Fisher, Founder and CEO of Leafwell, presented published data compiled from a subset of Leafwell’s over 400,000 telemedicine patients. Data analysis is an objective way to identify trends and behaviors of cannabis patients and consumers, and Ms. Fisher is uniquely qualified to examine key findings that have had a positive impact on our collective understanding of cannabinoid products and therapies.
David Hyde, Founder of Hyde Advisory and Investments, also presented at the Talman House event in Berlin. Mr. Hyde delved into the many facets of strategic investing, from new market entry, supply channel expansion, and new product collaboration to sharing know-how/IP and operational synergies. As the legal cannabis industry continues to transition from siloed markets to a connected worldwide industry, how people and entities identify the best ways to invest is paramount, and David Hyde’s presentation provided effective strategies to help ensure success.
A key component of Talman House events is pitch sessions, and the sessions in Berlin were exceptional. The Talman House is designed to streamline the process for companies and investors to network and identify potential partnerships to help facilitate deal flow. The events are private and limited to Talman members, which helps save time and effort for all parties involved.
Talman House Berlin included a fireside chat between Talman founder Alex Rogers and cannabis industry pioneer DJ Muggs. Few people, if any, have contributed to cannabis culture and achieved industry success on a level that DJ Muggs has. Muggs was at the forefront of the cannabis industry, and hearing his stories and lessons learned from decades of involvement in cannabis was invaluable for attendees.
The final panel of Talman Berlin was dedicated to analyzing the shifting legal regulations in Germany and the wider European market. With so much worldwide focus on the emerging European industry, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, regulators, and industry service providers must equip themselves with the proper knowledge and strategies to navigate a constantly changing regulatory landscape. Below is a recap video of the event:
After the successful event in Berlin, the Talman Group then headed to Brussels. Brussels is the symbolic heart of the European Union, and the Talman event served as a landmark summit focused on cannabis policy, regulation, and investment. The special gathering, organized in partnership with the Slovenian Business & Research Association (SBRA), represented a unique evolution in the Talman House’s European event series. The meeting in Brussels brought together industry leaders and investors, as well as representatives from the European Parliament, European Commission, and national delegations.
From regulatory clarity to clinical research and cross-border investment, participants gained actionable insights into how the cannabis sector can grow responsibly within the current framework and how that framework will evolve in the future. Discussions explored ongoing and upcoming legislative shifts at the EU level, ensuring that attendees were properly educated and could sufficiently anticipate regulatory change, shape policy dialogue, and position their organizations at the forefront of the continent’s legal and economic transformation.
The next Talman event will be held in London on November 10th, 2025, at The Savoy. Designed for investors, this event will provide valuable insights into the latest market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging business opportunities across Europe and beyond. Attendees will explore a selection of innovative companies through live pitches from promising cannabis businesses, each positioned for remarkable growth. With a thoughtfully curated agenda, expert-led discussions, and exceptional networking opportunities in an intimate, high-level setting, this event is essential for investors looking to stay ahead in this fast-evolving sector.
